Martin Taylor

Photographer's Bio

Martin traveled and moved extensively around the world while growing up. During his early teens, he acquired a camera, and thus began his love of taking pictures. The images in National Geographic as well as his own traveling sparked his interest in photography.
In 1977, he came to California to attend college where he met his wife Sue, and they decided to make their home and stay. While in college, he pursued Black & White photography with a passion. Watching an image magically appear in the developing tray was captivating.
After purchasing a digital camera, he combined his love of photography with his knowledge of computers to produce digital images. He especially enjoys photographing landscapes and pictorial images. Greatly influenced by Ansel Adams and Galen Rowell, Martin actively backpacks in the Sierra Nevada wilderness and Yosemite photographing their majestic beauty. Capturing the light, form and spirit of the mountains, lakes and nature on media, and to share them with others is his ultimate goal.
Martin is a current member of the Marin Photography Club where his images have placed in the Northern California Council of Camera Clubs. His images have also been exhibited and won awards at the Marin County Fair.
